I would also check the fuel strainer on the petcock. That bike has been sitting for a while and there is probably debris in the gas tank.

Also I am not sure what kind of fuel you have in Europe but a paper fuel filter like that will clog quickly with the gasoline we have in the US.

hi today i make a manometer for carb. but first what i did before in all this post:

clean fuel tank, line, change the filter .

new spark plugs , buy new coil and cables.

clean carburetor, fix 2 choke flaps , change all jets , needles, lift the needle on clip 3.

no airbox. using pods.

valve clearance fixed using new shims.

and i make my very simple carburetor manometer . this video is after i adjust little .

but i will gen maybe on Tuesday normal manometer and mechanic to do synchronization. i will see that will be difference.
and is still then choke is of not working cylinder 4 and throttle grip.

Looks like #3 is bridged and #4 is fouled. Have you tried cutting 1/4" off the spark plug leads to make better connections? Plug caps could be bad too.

its new spark plug leads (wires ) ,spark caps i can test next day, but i was changing places, so i don't fink that is a problem.

so way its not respond to throttle grip. more advises ??????

the spark of 4 cylinder

so mechanic looked for 2 days . verdict is the engine is ok . the rest is crap . the ignition ,wiring, is bad and its will be the problem . so now this motorcycle i will frozen til i will get more euro and then try find parts for ignition and igniter.


maybe someone can write how to test ore video how you using multimeter on your kz550 to test ignition and igniter???

its left only to test pickup coils like in this video :


and if it past i give up my kz550 is cursed and i am buy other motorbike ;(
