Bike keeps dying, high idle, help?83 kz650

Hi all, new to bikes, kinda new to carbs, I recently got an 83 kz650csr and it won't start with out choke pulled to start off. Second after starting and giving around 5 minutes to heat up and pushing choke in the bike dies. Instantly. Also there are two clear tubes leaking gas out? Overflows? Also when you start the bike it idles up to 6k rpms and kinda struggles o stay there ( erratic idle I suppose you would call it). If helpful I can take a video of it an post it as I really don't know the best ways to describe this stuff. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Also if a search would have helped me I tried to do that and it won't bring anything up on my phone it just freezes when I click search. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might have a couple carb issues. I'd start by pulling the carbs off the bike and do a full cleaning with carb spray, a wire brush, and compressed air. When you take off the float bowls make sure your floats are able to move freely and make sure your fuel valves above the floats don't have any debris inside of them. After that take your pilot jets and main jets out of the carbs and soak them overnight in carb clean. Blow compressed air through the jets the next day. Sync the carbs and reinstall them to the bike

Classic symptoms of dirty carbs. Has the bike been sitting for a period of time with gas left in them?

Most likely, it had spider webs on it.

If you have youtube go on there and look up mrmaxstorey. He has a lot of step by step videos of how to clean carbs the right way. It helped me a lot when I was learning.

Ok these are the clear tubes. I believe the bike is constantly leaking gas out of these tubes as the ground was soaked in gas. Also the air box had gas in it. Any ideas on that guys?

Also this black tube, why is that one the only one with a tube? I honestly don't even remember what it connects to. And the far left and right one had tubes if I recall correctly that ran up to a t and went somewhere. So why is that one capped off?

Not sure about the hoses but if your airbox has gas in it you may also have gas in your crankcase. To check you can sniff inside where you add oil. If it smells like gasoline it is most likely a carburetor problem. If it is a carb problem it will probably be solved my cleaning the carbs and setting the floats to the correct height

You tube time for setting the floats, I'm halfway through cleaning the carb and haven't done that...
