I have RS34s, had GSXR flatslides before that which were very difficult to tune for happiness anywhere but WOT. Got frustrated and tried the RS34s for their reputation fo being highly adaptable. Can't comment too much on the VM33s, though they're a bit notorious for fussiness. I did have the old stock 28s on mine for awhile.
I can say this: the RS34s are easy to work with and solved just about all my problems except perhaps a bit of "breathiness" (a bit of a bog, gasping for air) in the mid range. (And I think that's because I failed to install a 1200 kit  ) I have a 1015cc Wiseco kit and for my head/cam/carb combination I think a bit more displacement would help -- as is, my bike wants 6000+ rpms before it's really crisp.

gs1150 Suzukis.Almost as much up top,great
midrange compared to the 33s.We use the K&N
jet kit and needles.A set should work good
on a KZ if you can find some.

We have had good luck with the 36s on the

would you recomend the 34"s over the 36"s,what needles?
why would the 33's flow better on top?
