I would definitely check valve clearances
However it sounds to me like clogged/plugged carbs...Been seeing alot of this with todays "gas"
Get a can of starting fluid, spray into air cleaner, then try to start... It should start and run till the starting fluid is used up. Sometimes several runnings will pull the blockage/ clear or at least clear enough to run, to set timing and to attempt a carb synch... The more it runs the higher the chance blockage will be sucked clear......More than likely a good bench cleaning with compressed carb cleaner and verifying passages are open is the minimum that will be needed to be done. There are several good post on this site pertaining to cleaning carbs as to which ports to spray cleaner into to have "fuel" come out the correct ports elsewhere on /in the carb.
Just a guess, easy to try not all so easy to fix really...... The price paid for "progress"

Yeah carbs aren't the issue. I had them off went through 2 of them then stopped cause they were good and didn't want to risk tearing a bowl gasket

Then you have carburetor problems.

Compression check will tell you if your valve clearances are OK. No gas is the problem.

I don't know how the carbs could be "good" if they aren't sending enough gas in to show on a spark plug. First thing to do is a clear tube check to make sure the fuel levels are OK. If OK but no gas, your pilots are probably clogged. Could try soaking the carbs with gumout or seafoam liquid by filling them and letting them sit a few days. Then hose down through the fuel inlet with some spray cleaner.

So checked clearances and all 4 exhaust are tight. 3 with no clearance and one at .03. Three of the intakes are At .05. So everything is tight.

That's the problem with shim style valves. New guys don't know how to check and adjust them. They'll run it until a burned valve happens or it won't run. Anything less than .003" is too tight.

Think that is causing it to not start?

Definitely. Put your thumb over a spark plug hole and see if you can hold it there while turning it over one cylinder at a time. Poor man's compression tester.
