Not polarity.
The dual-output ignition coils that I'm familiar with have a non-polar primary winding.
Am thinking that most KZ ignition coils are non-polar and do not have any polarity indication such as plus or minus.
However, there is I believe at one KZ650 model that has + and - marks on the primary terminals. And there may be others. But I don't know the purpose of having primary polarity.
In the case at hand, am thinking possibility of the signal wire that's supposed to be attached to the port-side coil being erroneously attached to the starboard-side, and the the signal wire that's supposed to be attached to the starboard-side coil being erroneously attached to the port-side coil.
In other words, possibility that the signal wires are attached to the wrong coils.
Good Fortune!
