How'd you have them set them up to 80 PSI?

When APE did the head, valve grind, guides, seals, .004 cut, I signed up for the 50 dollar valve spring shimming so they set em up equal and a little less staked I guess.

I talked to Jay before hand too about it and he thought it was a good idea. ( He actually is the one who suggested it). ;)
1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

What about the valves? Course lapping compound should show or take care of the pitting.

Started the lapping! It's going really well. Getting feel for the noise and vibration from the compound, pickup and move a bit- then continue until the noise and vibration smooths again- then clean and check...

The snap rings on the Pistons- they seem to be in great shape. The service manual says to replace them every time you remove them- has anyone ever re-used them before?
