got her back together, except for exhaust pipes. started her up and no smoke. will put exhaust on in morning when its cooler. run her down the road and come back and retorque head after she cools off again.

That's great! Hopefully that's all it was and your test ride tomorrow will go well.

Must've sounded pretty loud without an exhaust!

Just wanting to give an update. Bike made journey home successfully. Other than a small couple of oil leaks she's doing fine. 1500+ miles down and going good.

Just wanting to give an update. Bike made journey home successfully. Other than a small couple of oil leaks she's doing fine. 1500+ miles down and going good.

I agree. Get a good valve spring compressor.

Just found a tool for removing valve seals without a compressor, Looks like it would work great and there are comparable tools for less than this one!
