No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThis guy says he has the rear tire.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I have a friend who restored S/N 1006.  He found an original front tire for his resto.  It looked in suprisingly good shape for being as old as it was.  But he doesn't plan to ride the bike.  It sits in his living room.

I think the Dunlop tires are made in Japan.  Keep an eye on this website.  I bought a rear tire from them a few years ago, a K87 Gold Seal.  japan.webike.net/brd/PMC/571/

I’m thinking I’ll try Avon Roadrider tires. They are radial and modern but I don’t have much choice at this point, I’d like to get a rolling frame together. I can always change if I have to later.

I've just fitted some to my bike and also put a set on my sons KZ650, I'm fussy with tires and still ride pretty hard, I like them, I haven't ridden in the wet with them but by all accounts they seem to be good there too.... I put about 1500 miles on them on my sons bike before handing it over ...

We're sorta partial to the Continental Twins tires in OEM sizes. Rib front, block-ish rear that look reasonably vintage & handle well.  We've run them for many years on our Z1's.

That's a cool option.  I definitely appreciate both a modern compound and a recent date code

I was a big confused by the front tire size shown as "Mrz 25  - 19".  I don't what that is.  But the PDF lists it as 3.25-19, which I understand.

They just told me they will have them back in stock to (Continental twins), I'm going to wait, lots to do.
I have to do my own bead blasting on the engine.
I picked up a compressor yesterday.  I'm going to try a little gravity feed gun first in a home made box I'm setting up to see how well it will work. Of course if I were going to do a lot of this a cabinet would be ideal but right now, this set of engine parts, this is where I'm starting, I'll post some photos when it's set up. I'm pretty space restricted so my wife offered up half of her garden shed for me to experiment in, we cleaned it out. The engine parts are pretty clean, I removed the old paint with paint remover but I could not get between the fins very well and there is corrosion to work off some so it doesn't show through the paint. It does seem like a lot of effort just to paint over but if I don't the paint won't look very good and may not stay on well. I don't want to have to do this twice. This bike is worth the effort, I feel like it's enjoying it's extended work over, I know, creepy.

I can't add much to make your job any easier, but cleaning those engine cooling fins can be a real chore.  I didn't have a vapor blast machine when I OH'd my KZ-1000, but I really wish I would have now.  I tried my best to clean between the fins but 4 decades of dirt and debris really adds up in those little-bitty hard to get at spots.  I have done a few blocks and heads for guys after getting my blast cabinet and even with the machine it is a tedious job.  Take your time and be patient, it will turn out quite nice in the end.  Just don't wear out your compressor because you will you lots of pressurized air.

I built a makeshift box to hopefully conserve media, I'll post some photos later, especially if it works!! I'm waiting for a filter/separator to arrive and then I can start.
