Lol!

You're welcome, amazing what happens when you brainstorm online.

...And have eBay right there. The CBR fender ought to work great. The stock tire is only slightly wider than the max width you can use on the GPz without modification.

All the newer bikes have tires way too wide.

Yes the taillight is from a CBR600RR.
I believe I bought it on ALIExpresss, it has integrated turn lights but I could not get it to work and they are also not allowed in Holland.

The fender is From a ZXR1100. same as my swingarm so some of my mounting points line up.

This is what gave me the idea, I like to cut it like this.
Not to bulky but large enough to catch the most dirt.

Thanks.

I'm keeping the original swing arm and the widest I can get is 130 without modification so the old Hurricane fender should be the ticket.

The integrated taillight/signals aren't legal over here either but it doesn't stop anyone from using them. Most the cops don't care. I'm sure the Dutch police are more active in the enforcement.

Disaster!!!!

Tried to clean the carbon with my dremel and some copper wheels but did not work.
So then used my grid blaster and that did the work and made me happy for a few seconds untill I found out my head is cracked.
On cylinder 2 and 3 betweeen the valves and the spark plug hole.
I am not sure what to do right now.
Put it back together and drive it untill I find a new head and hope it does not explode between my leggs....
Is it reparable (don't think so).
Try to find another head for a 40 year old bike.

Bad news Eric. I had a look at the slooperijs in 'My Favourites' but I didnt see anything advertised. Maybe you can phone around and ask anyway.

and keep an eye on Marktplaats, sometimes old Z engines come up. Ill have a look if I can find anything in England,There are a lot more slooperijs there.
Also,it might be worth phoning Nico Bakker or Jan Smit about repairing the old head.Good luck with it.

David thanks for the links, I will try to find a replacement.

Peter, I read the link you send me and that gave me some hope.
I could not see the pictures of the first guy but the other one (not the complete crack head  ) had small cracks.
Mine are all the way trough and on 2 sides.
I am taking the head apart this week and hopefully it is not a complete write-off :pinch:

I picked up package from Z1 and when I got home there where 2 more packages which includes a new head gasket ( a steel one from Wiseco)
So, taking it apart do some valve pasta/sanding and build it up again before summer is over in Holland ;)

Eric
