FANTASTIC!!!

Man,that really makes me feel weeepy all over. I may just have a good cry.Tears of joy, of course.
I can remember very clearly , the first time my buddy and i started my kz, a couple summers ago. It had sat for 22years.I remember that it turned over 2 times and fired right up. We both looked at each in amaisment.Big high 5's and smiles. It was a memerable moment.
U have done a fantastic job.

Congradulations Dave.

this build is a perfect example of how well things come together when you take your time, think your plan over, farm out a little work, ask advice then get your hands dirty.
she sounds real nasty, like she's ready to tear the street up a little.

job well done!

and as a special treat, the wife comes out at the 2 minute 40 second mark and throws extra parts laying around the house in the garbage.
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

Thanks all,

Still a considerable amount of tweaking, & fine tuning yet to accomplish but I'm happy with the results so far indeed. :)

Truly, as Kano mentioned, there's a whole slew of ppl here that have way more knowledge than I in these matters and as I stated in the clip, couldn't have completed without their help, especially Plummen and Larry C...

As I mentioned in the clip, these two guys actually would talk me through things to look for, give me advice or give a a size 10 every once in awhile for at times, as I would get so deep into the applied mechanics or science, miss the obvious....

Watch out OMR, size 10 coming at you...
True all!

These folks are more than happy to help out but word of the wise, do your research first for this show's them that you're truly looking to expand your knowledge and learn YOUR bike. Plus not to mention, you're not just wasting their time.

In doing so, you'll get to know your bike more in depth then you thought possible and then when asking your questions, they'll be thought of as intelligent questions.

These same guys will know right away that you did your research, have a basic understanding of how it's somewhat supposed to work, maybe missing the finer points or so far in depth that it's over your head but at least know the terminology.

Saying something like "that little do hickey under the carb" just isn't going to go over well with them. That basically says "Oh, that's where the CAM timing adjuster is".... DOH!

Out of the blue I would get PM's from other members with tips, advice and experiences for they knew I had done as mentioned above, was just missing the finer points...

All in all, been one heck of a 18 month period and I've only just begun to learn about these beautiful old magnificent machines known as the KZ series motorcycles.

Now, with that long winded BS out of the way, get motivated & lets see what some of you others can do. Be creative, think it out, study it, whatever but for Pete's sake, take your time for this isn't something that occurs magically over the weekend.
