Another successful trip through emissions.... LUV the AFR meter, makes it easy! ;)

1) Set idle ~ 1800-1900...
(NOTE: Settles ~ 1400-1500 after slow jet (pilot adjustments for lean) for easier starting in testing.
2) Turn each pilot CCW Leaner in CR's ~ 1/2 to 3/4 turns.
3) Screw driver in back pocket, roll her out of testing bay, rotate back (CW Richer) the number of turns, set idle ~ 1000-1200 (I like her a tad higher to get the oil flowing)... All good!

This places her stoich lean @ ~ 14.7 - 15.2 as reviewed in the image.
No need for choke or anything, just press the start switch and she purrs to life.

NOTE Carbon monoxide, almost 0.00 ....

GREAT LOOKING KZ!!!

Stupid question for you...... I just moved down from Northern Arizona to the Phoenix area. They have emission testing for bikes in Phoenix????

Please say that ain't so. With any of my motors, there is no way in hell I will pass an emission test!!!

Yup... Maricopa County is the only county in the state requiring emissions...

But no big deal any longer (for me anyways), I've learned the tricks to get her through emissions with no worries over the last 5 years...

You can register them as antique, w/insurance proof, less than 2,000 miles skips emissions.... From others I've spoken with, said it's kind of a hassle but as with your builds, no way in hell they can get through the test...

Where you located...?
I'm 55th & Greenway, Glendale, we;ll need to hook up.

Sounds like a reason to keep a spare speedometer on hand for emission tests.
