Just an update on some minor modifications/adjustments while waiting for the head work (almost there :cheer: ) to be completed...

After thinking about it some more, I decided to change the front master cylinder required for dual front disks. I also didn't like how the master distribution block had been mounted so I made some brackets and re-installed. I also added a brake line holder I fabbed up.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, scored on a BRAND new front fender of e-bay... $60 total (including shipping).

I'll post some day images tomorrow...

The guard looks great. You may consider moving it rearward an inch or so though. The chain may fling oil upward all over things, just like the tire.
Just a heads up bro. Nice work as usual. I just love all that shiny stuff.
You could have any future the head parts shipped directly to Larry to save shipping costs.Rob at Z1E did that for me.

As can be reviewed in the image, I figured out why they stated up and forward... Otherwise, the coil boots hit the frame and you would end up with weird bends on the plug wiring...

As for the mounting, I had to install the nut, then the spacer from OEM configuration. This provided enough clearance all the way around.

I put heat shrink on the spacers to keep ignition spark from jumping, also helps in case moisture seeps around the coils. I also put E6000 on the ignition to coil terminations, prevent high arc spark and moisture...

7mm high suppression spark plug wires were installed...
For the ignition to coil terminations, I used the OEM cable harnesses and tined/solder the ring terminals, thus keeping accurate conductor color scheme. Use heat shrink and rubber tape for added protections.

All from, you guessed it, our very own Z1 Enterprises...

Tomorrow, install the ignition plate... Should have the head completed by end of next week or shortly there after.
Larry C is taking care of me well...

Mark, thanks for the heads up...

Dyna S Ignition plate installed and conductors terminated correctly.

I'm writing this for those that haven't actually gone through the conversion procedure due to some of the Dyna instructions made me think a little so I'm sharing with you my findings. For those that have, please disregard.

The text/images all the answers but basically, the one thing that through me somewhat off was the terminology they used such as spark advance assembly versus OEM advancer body and in the conductor color coding off the ignition plate. The terminologies used are close enough to follow so don;t sweat it...

Example:
OEM contact breaker points plate conductors to the coils are green (coil for 1 & 4) and black (coil for 2 & 3). As can be reviewed in the image, the Dyna ignition plate conductors are black and white...

The one thing you'll notice is each of these conductors have a small colored heat shrink on them. The shrink colors correspond to the coil terminations of green and black respectively.

The red terminates to the switched +12Vdc, I used the coil red/yellow feeds as depicted in the instructions.

All in all, it's an easy installation, takes no more than an hour.

Unfortunately, I don't have the head installed yet so I'll provide the timing results at a later time...

If I missed type any of this, please bring it to my attention so I can edit...

OK, image here....

note: I just realized in the OEM Shop Manual pg. 185 they have the color codes off in the A4 schematic. They have the green conductor depicted in termination to coil 1 & 4...

I believe this to be incorrect...Can someone please confirm?
