Nonsense.....drill those jets...bigger, bigger, bigger :silly:

When you can pass cars without needing to down shift....then.....maybe they could be considered "working"
I can, but with the gear ratio I put on the bike it is just much more fun to do so. I would like to see you be able to down shift to second gear at 65+ without blowing your engine and still be able to rev an additional 2K.
YEA! That's what I'm talking about! It's 75 though man! I'm gonna go do that right now!
After I mow the lawn. And put up with that damn SEVERE cut out at around 7500 to 8500 rpm.
I'm gonna break down and MAKE some more jets, local car guy has the bit sizes I believe. I'm crankin up the drill! And I' gonna rev that sucker up good. And why does wiredog say 140 jets and someone else on here said 135 ? What's wrong with you people! grab a drill and join the fun. Today we are going to bang. WE will use OUR heads. And everytime we hit the wall we will SMILE and act like we like it!
I can pass cars without shifting down from 5th now with addition of bs34's that's beee essssss thirrrty fouurrrs. They have the response your wife never had.
Hell I'm this far in, been laughed at etc. I'm CRA

Johnny bravo scores a point! The fun has arrived it's a done deal!
I dialed those sonaboatanchors! AND I LOVEM! Oh the smooth idle! The ultra arm ripping crisp throttle response! The awesome midrange! THE HELLISH TOP END!!
I am one happy man tonight! Was 100 deg today and as it turns out the carbs were too lean meaning I should have drilled them bigger. How do I know? Because when I had to open the mix screws to get the gas the motor demanded it fattened up the midrange a little ahead of the main jet.
Mix screws on these carbs are EVERYTHING as to how fast and how much and when those slides rise.
There is NO particular setting. These carbs cannot be bench adjusted. NO way no how.
It's so nice how everything comes together at once. Idle mid and top, and the almighty transition through. All. I feel like I'm riding a harley the way it takes off. But the top is not harley by any means. I feel like I'm on a busa. I'm not shitting you guys these carbs are useless when they don't work right. Larry is right about the hassle. But I think putting them on cammed motors with head work really makes no diff to the carb. Unless you got the standard 100/100 lobe centers used by the tracteroids. Guess I'll never find out truley since I don't go there. You can't go wrong with the acceleration of these carbs, every little bit you turn those mix screws makes a diff. It's way too lean at 1 and 3/4 out. And it's lean all through the range then. I got them out about 2 and 1/2 or so, I lost track cuz the fun started. Have to look at them in the morning, now it's time to ride the midnight train it's so nice outside. Never imagined the bike having all kinds of rippin power with temps like that.
I got me a diff. animal now and I do say i like the sound the feel, everthing about the 34's.
Cept for one thing. My wheelie day are gone. HEY KEIHIN! yeah but that's ok there's so much response. I know too that I don't have to even race a 600 I know for certain they'll get spun.
And then they'll blink there eyes, and stammer, (same old story) Just can't figure it out.
Anyway I'm anxious to get done writng so I can go out on the bike and hear that sound. I'll be smiling inside my helmet tonight as I cruise down that lonely road in the beautiful summer night that it is.
Always in my mind is safety I play hard but play smart, I do worry some about accidents even though I'm agressive.
Somehow I've got the feeling Lrry new all along I'd figure something out with these carbs, and was batting for me:) He didn't have a clue WHAT I'd end up with but something would happen.
It's nice to relax, let one arm hang down and no jerking and crappiness.
I though hard about those carbs and was about to throw them to the ebayers but I somehow busted a float arm and they would not bring much. I had distant visions of saving up for those keihins too.
I said it once and now I have to say it again, If you think hard enough you can WILL something to work.
That is all folks the stupid bs34 post has come to an end.
Thanks to all for the advice, for telling me It wouldn't work and so forth.
Evertime I do something backwards or opposite it seems that when mixed with practicality and sense, it's works out fine.
YIPPI YI YAY.

I'm just kidding I smashed the carbs with a hammer and I'm going out to take the trash to the curb and smack them one last time.

Never was the carbs.
I noticed the other day the headlight dimmed at 8000 when it cut out.
Oh oh. Tonight it did it everytime.
Then all the sudden I lost all power to lights and ignition.
I have a bad ground folks. The carbs did need the idle mix set though.
If you have bs34's and the motor doesn't pull to redline or the midrange and idle are not so good, you need to adjust the mix screws NOT change the main jet. If you need a bigger jet, you will need to adjust the mix screws as well or it won't work right. Don't need to change pilot jets unless you got a crappy needle and then transitioning sucks.
Nads.com rises out of the sea water holding onto yet another set of bs34's, Caven is fuming as he paces back and forth wondering when the madness will end. NADs is ever so popular now. The phone rings and it's an invitation to a tractor pull, slamming down the phone he so willingly answered before all this madness began, he knows that things at the shop will never be the same.
All eyes are now focused on the high rpm screamer that is nads bike.
The mayor has offered nads a revolving statue of bs34's the honor the bright blue eyed german boy and his never ending quest for power. He slowly slinks down into his chair and puts his head in his hands. Daves Arizona smoke and plummens whiskey is uselessa against what plagues him now.
Mark just showed up with a truckload of paper documents containing all his latest tuning. This is getting old and so is he. He can't help but wonder what cfm nads heads actually flow.
God only knows what he did in there...

With cv34's you need to get the rpm's high as you can, shift very quick to ride the wave.
otherwise the slides will close down and have to rise again.
My final word on bs 34's is they make great power all through the range
but overall because of all the arse backward things,,,, they suck.
Love that power and the midrange PUNCH> these carbs will allow my motor to pass the rocket bikes.
That's it. They allow the engine to accelerate very rapidly, but they have to be just perfect and you have to shift fast.
This leads me to a thought. Why would anyone use anything smaller than 34mm?
If I wanted to create a strong signal I'd carry a flare in one hand.
If you want to go you have to open the hole.
Wonder if Otak ever got rid of that flat spot? Rich condition or whatever?
LOL that's just not the case here.
The one here that knows how these carbs work is Tech nine. I missed what he said about them until I read over some old postings, I'll respect his opinion in the future. That is unless he's full of it.
Gpz? It doesn't have sht on this bike. 11.0 quarter et?
That sucks terrible.
Just reading over some old specs, my bike would do that on 3cylinders.
My bike the way it is now doesn't know what a quarter mile is.
It's past that so fast, time has to catch up to IT.
And that's the way I wanted it. I came across some electrical problems like the head lamp not working all the sudden and no tail light and when I signal right or pull in the front brake lever, the engine stalls.
So I'm working some bugs out then I'll tune some more and get the absolute most out the 34's.
Then I'll hit the road knowing an 848,600 or 750 is going to have to have all together or it's gonna get beat.
This I know from the experience I have gathered from running with them.
This no tournament, this for real.
