Les...do you happen to know where you can get a bowl extension for the Mikuni HSR42 carb? Do they even make one?

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

With the increasing use of chat rooms and an endless number of places to get information these days, be careful, much of it is bad information. Every Horsepower number claimed by us on our website, over the phone, or any advertisement is based on “rear wheel” numbers from our DynoJet 250 dyno. Rear wheel numbers, at the pavement, confirmed by other dynos around the world, no exaggerating, no “pie in the sky”, and no bragging… just fact.

Mr Turbo does carry the carb bowl extension for the 42 Mikuni.

I have owned my Mr Turbo kit and have loved the performance since installing it back in the very early 80s. New kits today have upgraded turbos and a few other goodies, I replaced the original carb with the 42 about 12 years ago and it is a pleasure to drive under all conditions. Terry the owner of Mr Turbo is a great guy. I used to race against him back in the day . Fast guy on 2 wheels.
Hope this helps

Bought my Mr Turbo kit in 82. Great true "bolt up kit". One of the things I like best is it's there when you want it, when you don't keep it under 4,500 rpm's and it's like riding a stocker. If your going to run much more tham 6 lbs of boost be sure to upgrade the motor to handle the night and day increase in HP.

Bought my 1973 Z1 in late 1978. Turbo charged 1982.

The old RayJay 370 turbos are getting harder to find parts for these days - so if you do buy a used turbo, make sure it's in good shape first. I know Mr Turbo had a few parts remade a year or two ago.

They do - it's just in different places on different setups. On my bike it's very obvious - the rectangular box under the pipe - just where it wraps around the engine.
