yea it wont be a built to death just a decent low boost reasonable build. ill do the lock clutch and welded crank. headstuds and then ill fab up or get the mechanical done then tune. should be fun as a ridable turbo toy. oh and back cut tranny of coarse.

Keep your compression ratio low to safe guard the pistons. In the area of 8 to 1

I suggest talking to Joe at Pitstop when its time for the pistons. Smoking deals on MTC pistons and he will bore / hone to fit perfectly and install and gap your rings. He did this for me during my freshing up / rebuild 2 winters ago

Thanks for the Turbo compliment too, Im very proud of my Old Girl

Here is 2 pics of a street turbo setup I really like.
Note short exhaust to front mounted Turbo and long hivolume tubing to intake ports.

any more info on that cause i love it. i wanted to do a front mount but im not raked at all and i dont have a jig to do it correctly. i guess i could still do it. i wonder if it takes longer to spool with that large diameter charge pipe. my reasoning behind the front mount turbo is less lag and cooler air. plus you have room to run a small intercooler.

jeff are you still using the hs42 and what power does it make. also is the retard controlled by vac like the msd car unit or is it set at a specific timing?

I run the 42 carb on my bike like Jeff has, It has alot more potential to make power than you will ever possibly use.
As a Turbo Layman.. Turbos like short exhaust headers feeding them for quick response. They also like short exhaust from the turbo for no restriction .
I am of the opinion that the long hi volume intake tubing is a positive and wouldnt worry about lag. Remember the whole intake will be pressurized and the hi volume should insure good cylinder filling. ( Read it somewhere )..
A proper hi flow , low restriction intercooler is a big plus for a turbo system that I can only dream of based on my Mr Turbo designed system.
Go fuel injection at the ports if your able to.

Hope this helps
Dave
