hey guys. when i measure my piston/sleeve sizes. which measurements are the correct bore size/piston kit?

id figure on a 1075 kit to clean those bores up,unless you find another stock block/pistons

Stock 900 cc measures 2.598 inches.
Buy a set of stock 1015cc pistons. About $25 a cly. to bore at an average machine shop.

They sell 66.5mm pistons also,about 966cc.

Or buy the APE 1075cc kit with .410 cams and springs.
New cly block, matched pistons, ready to bolt on. $1000.
About $250 for the headwork. Then put it together. $1250 investment. Put a new HD cam chain also. Up to $1300.

ok guys my head is going to pit stop proformance tommorow.

the head still has all the valves in it. my buckets and shims are in a egg carton. i also have all the hardware in a bag.

besides the acual head, what do i need to send?

cams,maybe valve cover depending on how big of cams you want to run

stock cams for now. ok, ill send the stock cams and the cover....anything else? any hardware? no maybeys.

send everything you took off.....

if i could give you a little bit of advice......first of all, put down the silly sticks......you are going to spend good money on this project and if you want the best return for your money, you had better be paying all the attention you have .there are a lot of ways to screw this project up putting it back together.....read and re-read the manual...and read it again.......any monkey can take it apart.....putting it back together and having a running motor that lives up to its potential and doesnt leak or smoke is what seperates the guys who help others and the ones who throw in the towel....just my .02.....trust me on this one.....i made my mistakes and learned from them.....
