who lives in minnesota? i have a bike with a lost title for sale.(dingleberry b4 me lost it) the last registered owner lives in minnesota. i called her today to ask if she would get a duplicate for me. she obliged. i looked online what it would cost for a duplicate as i told her i would pay for it. i was amazed how $$$ it was......$9 pluuuuuus $8.50 for filing! WHERE DO THEY GET OFF WITH THOSE PRICES? i told the lady to get it anyway as $ is no object. lol

havent been around for a while, but i see some things dont change.....kz1k.......i had both psp and larry do work for me.......both very good and very knowledgeable.....if you want a motor done right,better get your wallet out.....there are lots of little things that add up.....shit,the cam chain and the right running gear will cost ya 400 alone.......:woohoo: .....lets see who comes out of the woodwork now.....:laugh:

Hey Keith... yup, we've already informed him of that and that's not including $$$ if new valves are required...

He'll learn real quick how a total restore/rebuild can add up real quickly.... ;)

BTW... Joe, that $300 valve job doesn't include port & polish.. If you're truly planing a performance build, this will aid significantly in performance over just cams alone...

Large Cams ain't going to amount much if the engine can't breath... ;)

i told you guys allready...i am looking into this as a basic idea of what i want done.....if you read it, you will see new pistons....1 PSP-MTC-K1075 piston kit, complete with (4) forged aluminum pistons with 10.5:1 compression using stock camshafts, (4) sets of 72XC rings, (4) hard chromed wrist pins, (8) teflon buttons sized for 72mm bore, (1) one piece fiber Cometic head gasket & (1) base gasket.
1 Boring
1 Refinish cylinder with baked on high temp silver paint
1 Cam chain guide
1 Press sleeves to reseat
1 Resurface cylinder


1 Valve Job with guides and seal
1 HD valve springs
1 Refinish head with baked on high temperature silver paint
1 Tach drive seal
1 Tach drive o'ring
1 Clearance for high lift cams
1 Resurface head
4 Remove and replace bottom exhaust studs for head surfacing

no shipping cost.....drop off, and pick up!

a lot of the old timers here(and i am not one)will concur that doing up a 30 year old classic the right way will result in a bike that looks and rides great, but will only fetch about half of what you put into it....thats just the parts......you will eat the labor and the tools......just my take.......
