Oh lots more riding coming up in the next couple of weekends. B)

I live in downtown Seattle a few blocks from the ferry terminal, so I can meet up there, or I could meet the crew coming from Portland down south somewhere and escort you into Seattle to the ferry. Are you planning to take the ferry into Canada, or ride the mainland to the border?

I have to take a ferry back either way. I figured either from Angeles back to Victoria, or Through Anacortes and San Juan. Then run it back down by land for the next handoff.

It's about a 5-6 hour trip each way, (excluding customs) no matter how I slice it.

It's a shame the flag never made it through the Rockies up here, the passes around Banff, Lake Louise & Jasper are freaking amazing! Would've made for some great pics.

I'm just glad to see some riders north of Oregon on board to cover their states/provinces - be nice if we could get Alaska on board..,.

Way to Go Northwesters!!! I would love to be out there touring right now! Had a blast getting the flag over the Continental Divide.

The KZ Rider Relay & Four Corners Rally will be next summer. Me thinks next August should give everyone enough time to make plans & commitments. I am doing the initial leg work and will post a separate thread very soon. It will likely be in Colorado within a day's riding range of the Four Corners. There will be many great roads to explore. The other main reason to rally will be to celebrate the great brotherhood that has been developing here over the years. Look for the thread soon. ;)

Agreed, one of my favorite places in the world. I grew up near Glacier and spent a lot of time in Banff and Waterton. :)

So you are planning to land via the ferry in Seattle, hang out long enough to pick up the flag, and get on the return boat? Or are you planning to ride out of Seattle to some degree?

Life gets in the way again....I guess I won't be able to meet this Saturday but it is still a go for Labor Day weekend. Will that work for you Motor Head? I can meet you up the Columbia River Gorge and we can head up the Wind River Road out of Carson.

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

Ok Toolmaker. We had thought of meeting a bit closer for you, in Estacada, but if it doesn't work this weekend thats ok. It will limit your time with the journal and stuff, but you might well have time to read it.
We need to set a time to meet in Carson, on the Gorge, there is a gas station just up off of the hiway about 3/4 mile in. That is a Must for my KZ. I need a full tank, I'm sure you will also. So we should meet there. I think last time I rode up from here, I got there by about 10:30am. What do you think?

There's no huge rush on my end. The ferry's are going to be a nightmare on the long weekend. If you guys want to do it the next weekend, it's more than fine by me.
Especially with Schuss saying he lives right downtown by the ferry terminal, I can pretty much meet him anytime. B)

Really need the long weekend for this ride for me anyway. Coming from Bend, up over the mountains down into Seattle will be quite a ride. Which I've done before.

Also Toolmaker is ready for it also. Looking forward to the ride, especially since it sounds like this weekends meet is now out. I'll have to ride some anyway, maybe just 2-300 miles.

OK, I'll try to get my wife moving by the time I need to leave here. Carson is such a center of civilization LOL. Would you rather meet in Cascade Locks? Might be able to find a cup of coffee there.

Killman, I can always meet them Labor Day weekend and then you and I can meet up separately for the WA->BC handover, if Labor Day weekend isn't ideal for you.

Schuss, have you got your bike ready?
Are you still planning on meeting us as we come into your area? If so I belive we are coming into Seattle area via this route through to Enumclaw. Copy and paste this map link in your browsers address bar. goo.gl/maps/6NVPt
See where you want to meet. Post a Destination in the relay thread. Then we can all see it and Killman can as well.
