Sheople.... Baaaaa.... There does seem to be a uniform for the different types of machines/riders. All v twin / cruiser rider.
The little vest with patches. The tiny helmet with a dozen lewd stickers on it. Also the little bullet proof vest looking things. The bandana. The inability trim a beard.
The need to hear the same three ac/dc songs over and over.
Of course the Black T shirt.
I am not going to whore myself out. I will not pay for a sticker or shirt unless I am sponsered. There are no stickers on the car or the bike. I will use a sticker to cover a scratch or dent:silly:

Has Honda or Kawasaki ever offered panties in there showrooms? Beer? I have nothing against the machines. I have not ridden one and can not say if I like them or not.
The sheople are what spoils it for me.
Skulls and flames, skulls with flames on them, flames made of skulls, It is all so boring and played out.
It is all about the ride. If it is a fasion show then,, I don't know what to say.

Oh man the crowd of posers is going to grow like mad...

Every yuppie "Bad Ass" can now own their own custom Copper for $249 a month....

powersports.honda.com/furyreveal/#/see/photos/action

The good news is that this should be the death of the chopper craze. My brother built one in about 1980, with a vintage shovel head engine and a suicide shift. It would haul ass... in a straight line anyway. That is a very cool bike, built with blood sweat and gears. I can respect that. But this is a freaking joke.

But look OUT!!! the Honda FURY  is comming....

(I'm sooo scared.....) :woohoo:

Oh Jesus What are they thinking....

1300cc V twin that makes 59 HP, Shaft drive, and twin harmonic ballancers... WTF. Are thier engineers on vacation or something. None of those specification belong on anything even remotely close to a chopper...

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

Yeah, them are great bikes. When I bought my first HD, it was either that or a Evo Sturgis. But then I saw a Shovel Sturgis and it trumped everything else. My Shovel is still sitting in the garage, right next to my Z1B. Happy camper here.

But isn't always the band wagon riders and hangers on that ruin it for the true enthusiast? Disco and leisure suits were probably a lot of fun before the whole world got into the act and ruined it for the enthusiasts.

Just looks like a rehash of the MeanStreak to me

59 HP?!?

?!?!?!

C'mon!

My 250 would make (theoretically) 83 hp at 1300cc
600 would make 90
750 twin = 95
900 = 118

Do people really only care about the number on the sidecover that much??

yup that is exzactly what they care about i was talking to a guy the other day and he asked me how much power my dragbike made and how big it was. so i told him it made 150= horsepower and it was 1393 cc's he didn't seem all that impressed so i phrased it another way i told him that is 82 cubic inches. he couldn't believe it then he thought i was lying because his 80 inch harley only made about 60 horse on a good day but then i could see this look come into his eye and he then said but what kind of tourque did it make and i told him 96 ftlbs and he said no way. his only made 75 ftlbs mine could be more powerfull then his mighty stock bore and stroke evo motor with a set of pipes and a dyno jet kit must be more powerfull then my jap crap. most of these cats live in another world boy's it is mind blowing.

That's funny. I had a similar conversation with a guy at the machine shop that did some work on my kz650 head. I guy in a Harely riding jacket. He aksed what the head was for. I told him it "Was for one of my old motorcycles." Then how much power it made. I said "About 60-70 HP." He asked what size, and I caught myself, though for a second then answered "Oh right about 40 cubic inches". He was livid, thought I was kidding at first. Then asked who made it. I casually pointed to the "made in Japan" stamp on the bottom of the casting. Now he was really interested all of a sudden. He asked if it was aftermarket, I replied "no, it's stock, just had the seats ground". Then he said "Well how long do they run before have to rework the engines." My responce was "Well it depends, usually they need some attention around 30 to 40 thousand miles. This one is form '78 and it had been sitting for a long time in salvage yard." He though for a minute, then asked " well how much power do the new bikes make?" I said " About twice that".

I think he figured it out at that point...

If I knew what I was doing all the time life wouldn't be any fun.

I've never been interested in cruisers and never knew much about them until a friend bought a V-Star. He asked me how much hp my 650 had. I told him then asked how much his 650 v-star had. He sheepishly said he was not saying :). Another buddy has a 1100 v-star, that still has less hp than my 30 yr old 650. I was not aware that these v-twins put out such low numbers.

I think a lot of the cruiser crowd just look at the size of the engine and how loud they are. They think that since their bike is louder it has to be more powerful.
