Dont let the docs give any BS. Cellulitis is another way of saying "an infection under the skin".
Sure hoping they figure out which bug and that those antibiotics start to work.

Sorry I was out of town a lot this weekend and just got the news that Dave was released from the hospital Friday even with the infection as the doctors feel the two IV's of antibiotics and then oral antibiotics will fix the infection.

The latest as pasted along from XS:

"Finally....some good news !!

Well what a day it has been.. Dave is now home ! ! ! He is on antibiotic for his leg/foot and has a follow up on Monday.
Dr. felt we can treat it at home. He had 2 doses of IV antibiotic and now he is on pill form. Dave is very glad to be home.

Great news indeed! I know from my own experience that getting back home makes a HUGE difference!

Take your time and let the healing happen! I know we are all pulling for you - and it is amazing how a common interest, and a BBS, can pull folks together!
