GOOD NEWS!!! HE'S HOME!! (Shoe48 (Dave) hit by a car!!!) UPDATE 6-16-08

Since my bike is my primary summer vehicle, I get 'almost' killed at least a few times a year.
already this year I came about a foot from somone in the opposite lane who thought I didn't exist and it was appropriate to pass a long line of cars.
Last year, someone locked their brakes in front of me, and someone else passed within a couple of inches of my left peg as they whizzed by as I was taking a right turn.
I've read Shoe's posts and know that he's no amateur, but even he could not avoid the idiocy of a driver who 'could not see' a motorcyle.
Share your accident stories, every one of them reminds me of how to treat cars: "They Dont See You."
Speedy recovery Shoe!!! Post pictures of your rebuild (and your bike rebuild) when you get back on your busted hoof!

"Today's report on shoe is that he is resting comfortably and responding to pain management. He is experiencing some kidney problems because of the trauma from the accident, but they are addressing that at this time. He is not quite out of the woods yet."
Like a lot of us Dave is not in the "springtime" of his years so this has to be hard on him, lets all pray for the best!

I hope you have a full recovery and respond well to treatment. If you need help getting back in the swing of things, in any way, please ask.
