GOOD NEWS!!! HE'S HOME!! (Shoe48 (Dave) hit by a car!!!) UPDATE 6-16-08

Just noticed I had the day as Saturday, it was Sunday, sorry but I got the days mixed up as this was a very bad weekend for hearing this kind of news for me.

Dave's wreck was the better of two wrecks this holiday weekend that I knew the riders involved. The other was a fatality, was a fellow I knew who lost control in a curve over on a favorite curvy road of mine. He had his helmet on so he was Ok there and was able to talk to the paramedics for a while until he started going in and out. They asked him if he knew his name and he said "Elvis" to which they said "are you sure you're the king?" and he said no he was just teasing. He played in several local bands here including a new one he named the Tequila Kings. He was a good natured guy about how big he was and that he had a face for radio!

That's the 3rd bad wreck in the past 10 days that involved someone I know so it is plenty over due to stop!

That's terrible news - it frequently seems to be a car turning in front of a rider. Our thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery Dave.

Damn, it scares me hearing about another rider down. I'm about 90% recovered from my bike accident last August. I was off work for 6 months and am still trying to catch up financially. So sorry to hear about Daves accident, please let us know when and how we can make contact with him when he's ready. I'm sure he would like to hear from us KZ nut cases! Keep us posted!
