- It is all good.
Share your accident stories, every one of them reminds me of how to treat cars: "They Dont See You."
Well put, well put indeed.
Every car, every street, every hidden hole contains some average human prone to err.
Yesterday I went through a gauntlet on the free-way. I tend to look at drivers to try to be more aware.
Imagine four cars, two on each side of an open lane on a five lane section of I-5.
Guy on the right, on the phone! Pass cautiously and check left, on the phone!.....
You guessed it, at one point I was surrounded on all four corners by vehicle operators engaged in phone conversations....
Lets be constantly vigilant, and not let ourselves move towards complacency. The driver who almost killed Dave has a lot of compatriots.
Speedy recovery Dave, I hope that this too can pass as comfortably as it should.

Bad news indeed.
Rose and I send our prayers and best wishes for a full recover for you Dave, and for all that your wife and family is/will be going through during your healing process.
I consider myself a fairly safe and aware rider, and have been very fortunate considering that I avoid at least one potential accident every day due to inattentive cage drivers.
There's no real trick to it at all, I simply view every vehicle that I share the roads with as being out there to get me.
It's in constanly anticipating every sceanario, and it only takes a quick glance away from the road for things to become completely out of control.
Please be safe out there folks, and don't enjoy the ride so much that you neglect the basics of staying safe and alive.

This is the latest from Shoe's wife, it's looking better every day:
Hi everyone,
Good news is that Dave should be out of ICU today and moving to the step-down ICU area for a few days. If everything remains good there after a few days he'll move to a regular room hopefully next week. From there they are talking about the rehab program, currently talking about intensive inpatient therapy for 2-weeks then hopefully home. Again thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers, we have been passing those along. He is still not up to visitors, talking tires him out quickly and best to have him focus on rest and recovery. He is anxious to be home and I know we'll need your support and understanding to help him all the way back. Love, Sheryl
