Sounds like the cams I just dialed in on my 1200 engine, a NOS set of RC400 Pro Stock cams.

Did you big valve the head? Flow rate??

I see you are a fan of the 650, awesome that was my first street bike I bought brand new in 1977. Loved it and recently found one to restore.

I put a KZ1000 engine in a 1978 B2 that has GPZ550 wheels/brakes/forks.

The engine has MTC1197 10.5:1 pistons, welded crank, big valved Stage 2 ported head (flows 96/75 CFM@10") RC cams that have .420" lift 280 duration, stock clutch/tranny, custom oil cooler, and VM33 Smoothbore carbs.

I am running a air box and dual exhaust because I want it to look mostly stock.

I also have a 1977 C1 that I will restore one day, it is a low serial number and numbers matching bike.
