Thank you Dave! must be the glitch is still in.Lets see how these do.I started cleaning up the smalls.
1     laquer thinner rinse and scrub with chip brush
2     water dishsoap rinse and scrub with new chip brush
3     vapor hone for about 30 minutes
4     water flush and air chuck blow out all holes and crevices
I will be rebuilding the petcock (going with some inline filters), but first sand it down/ polish.

I fixed your pics again .
At least the new software allows me to fix all the pictures at one time instead of one at a time .

Seeing that petcock in a better picture I’m going to warn you. You have no fuel left on reserve. That brass pipe should be about 3” tall. Not knowing you tank capacity you could be stuck on the side of the road very quickly. Your call.

I saw the cut job as well.I carry a 1 liter fuel reserve on trips (for myself and others). Choppers being form over function, I am used to a 1.5-2 gallon tank.it has a couple hard blemishes so I dont feel bad sanding this one down to a fine shine. Thank you...... you keen eyed hawk!

That polish level is what I’m looking for on my covers. Looks just like OEM.

That is 400 then 600 then 1500 wet sand with dish soap/water  in my bath tub. Then a green polish that I use for general cut with a 10 inch knit wheel on a floor mounted  Baldor polisher (1 horse I think). If you get your covers sanded clean with 400 then bring em over, we can finish em all in a half a saturday here man.

That is a great offer.... I’m going to take you up on that... pretty sure that I have 400 & 600. I think then I have some 1200, 2000, and 3000. I just sanded and polished the dull of my car headlights.

I thought I would start the reassembly right after I took care of the 1 broken bolt. It took saturday from 9am till sunday 1am to remove the broke piece and chase all threads on the cases flush/rinse/repeat. Now I will baby step through it this week.I printed off the instructions from JOE HOOPER on the site, I have the manual next to me as well. Here is a pic of the bastard piece of bolt, out with new bolt fully inserted threads are saved! Wish me luck, beginning my first full rebuild over here.
