I'm with you there KZE. Trying to find something positive about Tommyboy's chop job I suppose the best I can come up with is that he made the remaining KLR's more valuable.

I'd just assumed that this butchery is so bad that it somehow raises the value of 650cc tractors...

Damn people! I completely understand the outrage and I do think he could have started with a rougher or at least more common bike but leave the guy alone. As was said, the damage was done there's no point in insulting or even disagreeing with the guy, it'll just scare off a new member.

I say good luck with the build and given what you started with I hope your bike turns out great. I do like how you did the seat pan.

He asked for feedback.
No point in disagreeing? New to the internet, are you? :P Disagreement is how progress is made! Would you prefer we all go along to get along, like meek little obedient lemmings? "Oh, don't say anything to the new guy, you might insult him!" He's insulted a lot of people by doing what he did to a rare and expensive bike that most of us here lust after. You don't put a lift kit and mud tires on a Ferrari! If you do, or if you support that sort of thing, that makes you an @$$4073.
This community has every right to voice it's opinion on the matter, and there's not much use in whinging about it.

No I'm not new to the internet, I'm not saying "come on guys, can't we all just get along" jesus people just want to fight. As I repeated someone else saying, the damage is done. No need to be an @*&(&^(*& or however you want to censor yourself and repeat your criticism. No worries though I'm not offended.

Oh and "this is not the chop shop forum" HAHA tell that to the many many cafe, chopper, retromod, streetfighter build threads going on right now. Almost all of the regularly updated and viewed threads are nontraditional builds. Man some people are snobs
