What is unbelievable is this thread made 6 pages in just 5 weeks. Used to much slower rate of replies on most threads in this forum. Good to see you all still have pulses. :P

I personally would not have taken that particular bike to where it is now. That being said, Good Luck Tommy. Hope it turns out to look and ride like you want.

More replies now that its winter.. Less people are able to ride.

Now he just said STFU to one of the forum guys, guitargeek who is a good guy- not a good idea, as its just going to stoke the fire, but I think Tommy has had enough of it and could use a cease fire.

Tommy has hung in there pretty well despite the chit storm. I want to apologies if any of my comments bothered him.

One thing that bothered me was BOZO's comment on page 1.

BOZO's Comment:
This is the reason I hated being on the FJForum (FJ1200 Yamaha) because of the insults of other peoples opinion/s. I stayed with this forum because I saw a different type of people who respected different opinions, and rarely insulted anyone.

kaw-a-holic Comment:
This particular tread has got me to the point of not wanting to participate in KZR more. I have to ask myself, when will they turn on me for my decisions on my build?

This is what I ment to say:
One thing that bothered me and made me think about what the forum is for and the effect of bashing others on here was BOZO's comment on page 1.

Now kaw-a-holic is sick of it also.

This particular tread has got me to the point of nott wanting to participate in KZR more. I have to ask myself, when will they turn on me for my decisions on my build? Leave the guy alone. All the kings men and all the kings horses can not put this bike back together. If you cant say something nice, and/or constructive, read a different thread.

Build on Tommy!

You've been around long enough to know better than that. You're getting a kick out of watching the train wreck even though you won't admit it. Go ahead and try to make yourself feel superior by taking the "high road" you've designed for yourself.
I, for one, will continue checking in to see what happens. Not my job to tell everyone on here how wrong they are.
I guess it's OK for someone to do something that obviously deserves criticism, especially since he opened himself up to it, but it's not OK for ALL WHO CARE to express exactly how they feel. I'm not the thought police and neither are you.
I suggested a means by which you don't need to be offended by this thread, but YOU can't let I go.

Respectful criticism is not what people here are complaining about. Even negative criticism. It is the constant repetitive bashing by some people here that goes beyond the pale. Near the point of harassment, IMHO. Seems like they are poisoning the well. Others here have stated that much, and are now wondering what kind of reaction they may get on their intended build. Nobody here is asking anybody not to speak their minds. Would be nice if they did so in a civil manner and not have to repeat their disapproval over and over again.
O.K., ready for any pot shots coming my way

Well I like what you are doing and it's a really good looking first build.. I have a kz750 and I yamaha xj 550 and on the yamaha forums people are a lot more helpfull and supportive. People would get banned if they bash others like I'm seeing here.. Good luck with your build and keep posting I think it looks good bud
