Yeap I thought the same as mine work just fine on my KZ1000. I ride a little aggressively around town and often feel the back tire sliding when braking hard. Front double drilled stock disc work grea also.
Update: I'll just sell mine if I have to add all the modern conveniences to it and buy a new bike, nah second thought I like it just like it is.
1980 KZ1000 LTD-B4(MK II engine) - Progressive suspension, MTC pistons, Dynojet Stage III, all wear items replaced, WFO paint scheme(1978), etc..
Past bikes- 2 1976 Kz900's, 5 1975-76 Honda CB750's, Honda 500 -4, Honda 250, Honda 125, Honda 100, Suzuki RM 250, Honda XL350, Kawasaki KLR 650, etc..

I don't think the KZ brakes are bad with sintered pads, but near impossible to make a quick stop with one finger. If motorcycles have taught me anything its that skills are far more important than the machine.

The KZ bikes need a 5/8" bore master cylinder for dual front disk brakes! Ed
