i am guessing the zx stem comes out of the bottom of the zx triple? not sure how to get it out without damaging the triple.

everything on my rear lined up today exept for this one spacer on the rotor side. the spacer on the sprocket side slid in flush into the wheel. the spacer on the brake side went in about 3/8" and then about 3/4" shows. the caliper housing is pressing againt it and the swing arm was a snug fit when i fit it up. here is a picture...does this look right? wheres larry when ya need em.

Working from memory..... the collar on the rotor side doesn't go into the seal very far & fitting the wheel up inside the arm was a nice snug fit.

If the brake caliper is centered on the rotor, tighten the axle nut while spinning the wheel. It should tighten up and the wheel should spin nice & free Joe :)

What are you using for foot pegs and rear master cyl?

There's a snap ring on the bottom of it that has to come off first. You mighty not be able to easily see it but it should be there. Mine had one.

I put mine in a lathe and cut the aluminum back away from the snap ring a little, then pushed it down from the top enough to get the ring off, then pushed it out. As I recall I pushed it from the bottom up through after removing the snap ring.

Once it was out, I figured the length I needed & cut the stem off. Then press the KZ stem into the stub of the 7 stem.

After the stem was pressed back into the lower clamp, I drilled to holes for set screws to take the place of the snap rings, threaded them and loctited allen set screws into them.

I heated the clamp prior to pressing the stem back in. It's one tight mutha :)

Haaaaa! If only I could get my hands to shrink that small when I'm working on my bike! ...and since I'm married having women gage me by my "hand size" wouldn't be an issue.
