caliper side....now that i know where my tire will sit, i am just waiting on my pivot sleeve to get the rear perminatly nestled in.

how much of the weld do i grind? omr's thread stated he ground too much. and whats the best way to get it pushed out?

smack it with a soft faced hammer and look for a crack to appear around where they are joined.it usually turns blue when it starts getting close.i am fortunate i just chuck them in the lathe and just cut the weld out and bevel at the same time.:P

yuppers, and 3 lb sledge did it. :laugh: now...on the bucket do i need the 2 parts on the left....the rings? and now whats next?

Those look like races for loose ball bearings.

You're using the stock neck/stem, right? If so you will need the other half of the tapered roller bearings (look like metal rings that fit the bearings on the stem).

Part of it. There are two pieces to a tapered bearing...the bearing and the ring.

There is also a grease seal you will need - maybe that's what those two pieces are, hard for me to tell.

looks like one is a seal, and the other piece is like a flat washer...hmmm.

so, from what i got from omr's thread is i need to remove the stem from the zx triple (kawasaki shop?) and have a sleeve made to weld to the kz stem?
