that looks much better.
i use a zx6 master, and a cbr1000 start switch on my 600 track bike. the cbr1000 start switch is thin and takes up less room. the throttle housing is small too. but i dont know off hand if the kz cables would fit it.

I like the plan, but let me warn you about that AFR gauge. That sumbitch will drive you crazy. You might want to have a sticker made up that says 14.7 so you can focus on riding. I know your personality is a lot like mine and you will find yourself wanting to adjust your pilot screws when sitting at traffic lights and changing jets at rest stops.

Where did you get the rollbar paint? I like the sound of some paint that comes out of a rattle can and is still tough.

" you will find yourself wanting to adjust your pilot screws when sitting at traffic lights and changing jets at rest stops. "....

Several fold answers on this one...
1) AZ requires emissions so this would come in extremely helpful.
2) I can use this one to compare the results of the one I designed awhile back for accuracy.
I still haven't given up on that concept yet, have some ideas/design still to work out yet.
3) As in my recently destroyed engine :( , an AF/R unit would have provided me some extremely useful data on that Black Sunday where I would have babied her home not working her hard on the exiting out of those turns... If I had only known...

Anyhow, I know from my plug condition/readings previously informed me my jetting was about right, slightly on the rich side. All the additional tools I can utilize for saving this next build I'm all for... B)

I hear you man, mostly just deviling ya.

I have rode around with my LM-2 strapped to my non-functional speedo and I have learned that you can only get the carbs right for certain criteria. That's what will drive you crazy. You have it tuned right when you leave on a warm afternoon and it's running a little lean when you are on the way home on the cool evening. Plus the transitions between pilot and needle jet, needle jet to main jet, and so on. That kinda stuff will bug you if you are watching it all the time. Next you will find yourself looking to go EFI.

here is one scenario i have seen played out with a buddy of mine that has a kz chopper with the starter switch on the frame below his butt.

we are sitting in a turn lane, the light turns we start to go he kills his bike.

he has to stop traffic while he finds neutral and takes one hand from the bars to push the start button  .

while holding up traffic :pinch: .

then he has to reach back up and grab the clutch and engage first gear and then he can go.

if that happens to me i can get it re-started without removing my feet from the pegs, usually :P .

because my start button is on my handlebar.

just something to think about.

OMR, I'm liking the customized original gauges. That was a good suggestion to run with. Nice position for the volmeter too. Well done! - Jim

OMR take a look at some kawasaki roadrunner head lights. You will get the idea after you see them.

I started digging for it too - looks like Advanced Auto Parts around here carries it, or via Amazon (what can't you get on Amazon!?!)

I plan on trying this once I get my frame bracing done. The all-in-one epoxy sounds awesome...hope it's good enough to be true for once.

I don't know what the stores are like down there, but we have a chain outlet up here called Canadian Tire, (kind of a generic hardware/automotive/housewares type place) and I got a can of the stuff off of the shelf for about $7.00 Canadian.

So, for about $75.00 US, you should be able to find it at your local big box hardware store!

You trying to say our dollar isn't worth the paper it's printed on? :pinch:

I found it at my neighborhood Advance Auto Parts for $7.29 US. I guess that place is good for one thing. :)

I was thinking the same thing, except I don't think I have a local one. I have to travel 20 miles outside of the state capital to find one....wtf. I'll just spend the extra money and get it from Amazon - cheaper than the gas it would cost to drive there.
