Just a little update...

I always hated the way the original battery cage came out and it was always a pain in the ass to get into the compartment, the battery terminals, heat build up etc... Just plain sucked...
With that in mind a time on my hands, change it....

Original Battery Cage.... :pinch: :whistle:


New Battery cage (exits out right side) leaving plenty of new tool storage space soon to come.

Just a little update....

Fab work all complete, frame stripped and painted, putting back together and started working on the electrical panel & harness....

NOTE: Found this VHT Rollbar and chassis paint... Self Priming to boot! :woohoo:
So far all good, paint has held up well with 7 days cure time. Hit it with a screw straight driver no chip... B)

More to follow in the next couple days...

I picked up some of that VHT Chassis & Rollbar paint last summer to do my frame with. I've been worried about the 250 F degree rating though. Think it'll stand up to the engine and exhaust temps?

Should be fine as can be reviewed Pre & Post Oil cooler temps measurements.
NOTE: This is Arizona measurements where summer temps reach 115F plus. :pinch:

If it does become an issue, then back to Duplicolor wheel base & touch up over the trouble spots for this stuff held up with no heat related "Bubbling" issues at all...

That's the beauty of paint over powder coating, touch up where & when required... All good! B)

i noticed it looks like you added a support bar from the back to the t bar mount for the shock. i didnt catch that earlier i was thinking i might need it on mine.

did you mount it to the curved bar? or does it just look like it from the pic's?
