Sure Larry, It was one of those early morning deliveries at a Country store. The Tanker Driver put the wrong fuel into the underground holding tank at the Pumps. They are a Gas stop on a Country road on the way into town for a lot of people. So along with gas, people get coffee, return videos, etc.

08 Dec 2011 01:35Very nice! How do you make such a nice wiring diagram? I would love to make one for my custom wiring job (already done), just to have as a reference for the future (getting older and tend to forget things LOL)

Thank You!
What I was specifically wondering about was if the delivery drivers had something to do with the alcohol mix content or something like that.
A few years back I ran into a problem with a detonated piston. It happened 15 miles after I filled up at a Valero Station.

Re: OMR: '76 KZ900 Restoration/Modification
08 Dec 2011 09:14I see no real value in an oil pressure gauge on a roller bearing KZ Dave. Just something to stick out of the end of the motor and get snapped off from a simple tip over [God forbid that happen but we're human and shit happens].
Value would be an EGT gauage......

For an EGT you need a probe in each pipe, close to the port. Cylinder Head Temp might be another good Idea. There are a lot of great gauges out there these days that will sound warnings, record data, and you can set the range of Temp for the Warning to occur. I think it can be linked to the Ignition as well. The Head Temp Gauges we used in the past had a ring that went in under the Spark Plug, so no need for a sending unit hole tapped in somewhere.

That's what we always ran on our sleds.

"How do you make such a nice wiring diagram?".... Windows, MSPaint
As mentioned, I'm not sold on the oil pressure gauge as well... Rather have a AC amp meter.

I think I owe you an apology, I just went thru this build for the first time, ever. It was before I had started posting much on here. My point? A man looks at a beautiful bike and it warms his heart, looks at the build details of the same bike while under construction and it warms his soul! You sir have a beautiful bike.
Sorry to hear of the health problems your close family member had. I myself would have to lean towards clips coming out of groove. The wrist pin appears to be hanging out to the right in the pic. I have seen them come out before, I'm sold on buttons even for a simple performance build.
Best luck getting it straightened out.
