The white might be a pain to clean bugs off of, but I think it sets off the stripe nicely...

Thanks for the input... I like the white too. And since it already is white, I'm leaving it white for now.
I'm supposed to get my pipe back from coating tomorrow... Keeping my fingers crossed they did not blow any holes in the primaries sandblasting.

Welded on the tach bracket last night. I still have to make a small dash for my oil pressure and neutral light, and a support for the top of the number plate.

I've got some small aluminum plugs I machined to cap the open ends of the tach bracket, if I want to.

Thanks dude. Well I got the pipe back from the ceramic coaters, all satin black. They didn't blow any holes in it luckily. Just gotta pack the baffle and throw it on the bike now.
I also measured it to compare the final specs to Larry's calculations I was trying to approximate (for my motor/cam combo):

The final measurements are:
Primary OD 1.5"
Primary length 26.5"
Collector diameter: 2"
Megaphone exhaust out to 4" with a 2.5" race baffle.
Collector length (from end of primaries to end of exhaust) 29"
Overall length of system: 55.5"
Not too bad I am within a few inches of optimum lengths.
