You and me both! That Moriwaki pipe has got to be one of the nicest ones around. Lately I have also been drooling over the black Nitro Racing pipe.

The white might be a pain to clean bugs off of, but I think it sets off the stripe nicely...

Thanks for the input... I like the white too. And since it already is white, I'm leaving it white for now.

I'm supposed to get my pipe back from coating tomorrow... Keeping my fingers crossed they did not blow any holes in the primaries sandblasting.

Welded on the tach bracket last night. I still have to make a small dash for my oil pressure and neutral light, and a support for the top of the number plate.

I've got some small aluminum plugs I machined to cap the open ends of the tach bracket, if I want to.

Thanks dude. Well I got the pipe back from the ceramic coaters, all satin black. They didn't blow any holes in it luckily. Just gotta pack the baffle and throw it on the bike now.

I also measured it to compare the final specs to Larry's calculations I was trying to approximate (for my motor/cam combo):

dutchz wrote:
For 65.599 CID from 6000 to 8500 RPM

Single Primary Pipe Specs Diameter= 1.052 to 1.177 Length= 23.0 to 25.5 inches long

Best HP/TQ Tuned Collector Lengths= 13.6 , 27.1 , 54.2 , 108.4 inches long

Worst HP/TQ Loss Collector Lengths= 20.3 , 40.7 , 81.3 , 162.6 inches long

The final measurements are:
Primary OD 1.5"
Primary length 26.5"
Collector diameter: 2"
Megaphone exhaust out to 4" with a 2.5" race baffle.
Collector length (from end of primaries to end of exhaust) 29"
Overall length of system: 55.5"

Not too bad I am within a few inches of optimum lengths.
