Thanks Larry, I am really happy with the way it turned out, transitions look nice and smooth, no sharp kinks. Now let's hope it works the way I intended!

Is that a reversion cone you also purchased on the end or is that part of the baffle?

Will be interesting to see what the torqe curve looks like ;)

Yeah I can't wait Larry. Maybe I didn't need new carburetors after all

That's part of the race baffle. It's frikkin huge. The core sits flush with the pipe ID at the first bend, so it will not cut down flow (or noise  ) by much. Never recorded audio but will try to get a sound clip.

Thanks Dave. You know it... I installed the APE low pro plug/filter, that gained me some clearance and will keep it from denting at the top.
I am used to taking my Yosh off when changing oil, no big deal. At least this pipe doesn't use those pesky half moon collars!

I'm going to take it off and get it ceramic coated black. Almost a shame to see the welds go but the primaries are old and pitted and will not look so sexy in the raw

Full production? Funny you should say that. I wish... I would gladly offer it up for reproduction down the line. I actually thought about it since it would be nice to have a backup. If MAC ever wants to do a race pipe... It even uses the Kerker baffles they already sell. But I don't know if a US mfg would be interested as it will not fit a stock bike with passenger mounts intact, and a large chunk of the market does not want to cut their frame. On the other hand there are quite a few Japanese mfg that make race pipes and they do not seem to be short of takers.

I made the battery box and mounted the discs on the bike. Came out sweet with a little more than 1/8" clearance between the bolt heads and the fork legs. The header is off to the powder coater for ceramic coating. Now on to the caliper brackets...

Satin black. Are there any other colors? i think that's the only color that would look right.

I agree, satin black would look the best. I had never seen a satin black ceramic coating until I saw supercharged's Pridmore replica. Until then I had only ever seen the silver ceramic coating, thats why I asked B)

Got ya, it was the other way around for me  I should have it back before the weekend.

Hey I need some opinions! I came to the realization that the half fairing we are making for it is a few months from getting finished - our Bonneville race season is in full swing so we won't have a lot of time until fall.

Soon as I get the brakes done I wanna ride this thing so I was thinking of doing a quick-n-dirty number plate. It will mount to the same fairing mount with a shorter bracket, same offset headlight, so it will be an easy swap with the fairing. I did a quick mock up, what do you guys think?
