looks all right and it gets the bike closer to being on the road worry about doing the fairing later when you get more time.

I think everyone should have a front white board. That way you could write messages backwards for motorists to read. You know, things like "MOVE!"

Or, Get of you f***ing phone and drive! Hehe you guys crack me up. Yeah it's a bug deflector alright, it will probably deflect them right into my face. I remember reading somewhere they were messing around with the angle of the plate at different tracks if you get it right it may actually help some. I think I can make this look pretty good. This was the original plan before I started messing around with the fairing. I'm rolling with it for now...

i like it, and have tried(unsuccesfully) to talk a buddy of mine into doing the same thing on his 75 z1.
but maybe a oval number plate might look a little less square  ,maybe :) .either way,i'd roll it!

If I'm gonna do it I might as well do it loud and proud! Oval number plates are cool for little ducati scramblers laugh: I actually held up some other styles to it and did not like any of them.

I've seen some number plate bikes that I really dig, supercharged's Pridmore rep, the Moriwaki monster of course, a bunch of seventies superbikes...
And then this one comes to mind, probably one of my favorite bikes ever:

Anyone else have cool pics of bikes with number plates?

I know what you mean that has been on my desk top for a while...
That's the Sanctuary bike right? That is one purdy - and high $$$ - machine. Here's a nice MkII. Not as flashy but nice.

Ah you're right. The black one was built by a british company called Racefit, based on a Spondon frame. It was featured in PB mag, this image was on their site as a desktop download I think.

I worked on the number plate some more tonight, glassed in a tube so the light can sit in a nice recess (instead of just a hole in the plate), will post some pics tomorrow.
