On Saturday I went to pick up my ceramic coated pipe and my powder-coated fork lowers. They are fantastic. Considering that the pipe is about 30 years old and was pitted like crazy, I am impressed.

Obviously the pitting can still be seen but that cant be helped and doesn't bother me in the least. I had a choice between the polished silver and the satin black and I chose the former.

The fork sleeves are also beautiful. I chose the gloss black for those. They are from a 1998 Police bike and I cut the front lower fender mount off and blended it. I left the rear on because I figured I might use it to mount something.

The reason I chose the 1998 forks was because as you will notice, it has offset caliper mounts to accept larger rotors and more modern calipers.

pipe looks great...i googled and the only folks i found by me were in L.A...they seem top notch and he said about 200 for the whole pipe(seems decent) i pay shipping both ways too.....he also said of the chrome ,black and aluminum finishes that the aluminum look will hold up the longest in his track record....

I'm not sure about the rotor size on that year. I bought the forks only. The tubes were in perfect shape because they are enclosed in a rubber bellows. Obviously I will not be using the bellows.

Otakar, your parts look real good as usual. I have been considering the ceramic coating for my exhaust when the time comes. Considering your results it seems like it may be the perfect solution for my bike. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Well, as of last Monday I have been laid off again. This will give me time to mount the new front end and install the pipes. I will post pictures as I do this.
