Cosmetically, she is almost finished. Now comes the engine work. tomorrow I will take the head back apart, because like an idiot I did not check if the cams will clear the valleys. So I have to pull the valves out to grind out for clearance. I will also paint the cylinders and the head tomorrow or Monday.

Great looking bike, nice work. Looks original to the untrained eye. I wonder if i can make my Kz650 look like a Z1. You got me thinking.

I am going with .410 on Exhaust and .419 on Intake. With the flowed head I should have pretty good breathing into the cylinder. For now I will leave the carbs on. They are equivalent to about 31mm Smooth boars the way I have them built. It should take me about two weeks to get the Fuel Injection ready. I am getting some higher flow injectors, and than I have to run them all threw the test rig. I have to paint my Brothers bike this coming up week and I plan on putting on the top end on mine the weekend after that.
