This entails new needles and spacers modifying the slides and changing the jetting. I have custom needles made for these carbs that will work on all of the BS34 and 36 carbs. There might be some other mods depending on the amount of build on your bike. The mod is a little different for each individual situation. Most guys just make the mistake of putting huge jets in the carbs and thinking that will take care of all the problems they may or may not have. To do the complete carb overhaul with all of the mods is $300 (If your carbs do not have any effective Diaphragms)all other parts are included.

Gotcha... You mention a vacuum port earlier in the thread.
I don't remember the stage kit that I had on my BS before sending to Wired George. He replied back they were dynajet needles when returning them. I too had issues with a little dead spot when they were on the GPz motor. Now with the Zypher motor I'm curious how they will work and what options I have as things progress.
Need to gather some more stuff before I swap out the flatslides. Found my old throttle assembly but the cable is going to be replaced. Nice that Motion Pro is near by and they can make new cables with no issues.

I have a company in Holland that makes them for me. They run a bit richer than the Dyna Jet needles and are Anodized so they do not ware out like the Dyna Jet needles. I also do not like the Dyna Jet "Jets" They do not work as well as the Mikuni jets as far as I am concerned. I don't care what they claim. Also the Dyna stage kits are designed for stock bikes and they will not give any help with modified bikes. I just was not happy with the quality of the parts in the Dyna jet package.

Mount them and see. We can always go threw them later. I have absolutely "ZERO" hesitation of any kind on mine. Sometimes the vacuum hole is drilled too big and the slide comes up much too quick. This will cause your hesitation.

I’m looking forward to hearing about the first rides with the new top end. the chamber pic you posted is the first good 1 I’ve seen. Seeing it clearly shows me its good points. it looks like it will direct the burn towards the plug well.
I might be tempted to soften the sharp edges i see though. There seem to be a lot of them. Those edges may tend to get a little hot? I have read that the chambers and pistons should have any sharp edges removed, to deter detonation, caused by hot spots. I did my new J&E pistons, just to be safe.
The bullet shells must have gotten lost in the mail.

I've sent those things weeks ago. Its not the hulls but the damn postage for something quite worthless. That's what steams me. I will dig up some more tomorrow.

I finally had a chance to install the lower fearing on the bike today. I will post pictures tomorrow. I also had a chance to try out my modified BS34 CV carbs in some Desirable traffic conditions. When I had a slow poke in front of me that just did not want to accelerate from a stop lite in a expeditious manor. I decided to go around him. As I accelerated from behind him in first gear, and proceeded to pass him I, I shifted into second gear and punched it. Well I was rather surprised when the front wheel came off the ground. I must say that the bike is finally acting the way it should, and it is still not much more than a stock 998. It will be interesting what she will act like as an 1150 with the flowed 84 head and big cams. I plan on installing those within the next two weeks. :woohoo:
