Definitely keep it and the bike going. Especially the bike, I like the build off idea. Get your buts in gear and build.

Re: My '76 z900 'Strip-fighter...sorta
31 Jan 2009 07:52Is this thread worth carrying on
WTF is the matter with you, you turning sissy on us?
Of course it's worth it, this is what we do!!!!
Not all of the members have the means ($$$, tools, garage, knowledge etc...) to go the way for fabrications.
Think about it, you take a 30 year old bike and make her something spectacular... I don't give a rats ass what kind of bike you ride, when done properly someone will walk up to your completed bike and go "Whoa, sweet!", tell me about it...
Hell, anyone can paint to cleean it up a little but custom modifications such as swing arms, mono shocks, 10" wide USD forks, 180-200mm rims/tires, horsepower increase etc... that's a totally different ball game mi amigo...

So to answer your dumb-ass question () HELL YES it's worth it!
So stop your sniveling and post some more images... ROFL!

Re: My '76 z900 'Strip-fighter...sorta

I got a little more done this weekend. I made a mount for the taillight and licence plate. I pretty much do all my designing as I go and after thinking about it I'm going to cut the licence plate mount off the bracket. I don't like the idea of having it all one piece just in case I bend the plate bracket I'd end up pretty much bending the frame essentially and that would in turn damage my powdercoating etc. So I'm going to grind off the tack welds and cut the bracket essentially in half and then figure out a plate mount a little later.
