76 kz 900.

Bringing back motor from Pit Stop Performance, Joe and his friend were kind enough to help me mount it on frame and up on the truck .

As it sits right now.

I'm curious. Has anyone else experienced similar work from pit stop?
I'm not a trained 'tech', just a welder by trade. The only work I have
someone else do is for what I don't have the machinery for. I've seen you
posted over on drag bike.com also. I wonder if this is a witch hunt and we're
going to see some advertising for a shop in Dallas or where ever? It's strange
a new member joins and the first thing they do is start ripping on someone.
Just being a little sceptical, but I would like to see an invoice.

I can't comment on a whole engine Build from them (wouldn't trust any one else anyways, do it myself) but for the rest, I had no issues with their workmanship on my 1075 cylinder bore or in "paint"... I asked they don't paint my cylinder and I received what I asked for, a non painted bored out 1075 cylinder so not sure who you spoke with...

I was also extremely pleased with the way they packaged it for shipping protection....

So best guess, someone else did this work and unfortunate as it may be, not the same craftsmanship was accomplished.

Sorry you're doubting what I'm saying. I've tried to be nothing more than factual about everything. I've been a member of www.dragbike.com/ and www.kawasakimotorcycle.org since mid-2012 when I started the project.

I'm not gonna mention names, but the guy who referred me to Pit Stop is going through the same oil leak problems with his "J" engine, and I've been in contact with business people who have received complaints and no longer direct customers there. I'm not gonna show you my invoice, but here's a pic of my engine still in the crate from Pit Stop. If you don't want to accept what I'm saying, that's your choice, but a mistake.

If you haven't assembled the engine, I strongly suggest you put a straight edge on the deck, super-clean the cylinder walls, and thoroughly wash out the oil passages.

Here's a thread on a guy with Pit Stop work and it took him four tries to finally seal the head with OEM gaskets. I still think the head and/or cylinder deck was warped, and the OEM gaskets made up for it.

Sorry you had big problems with Pitstop,
Seems , if it could go wrong it did.

I had good luck with Pitstop a couple years ago. Joe had the best prices and his work on boring my block and fitting my new MTC pistons and rings was dead nuts on the money.
Wondering if the health issues have caused Joe to miss poor workmanship leaving his shop.

Don't know why, just know what I got. This all started two years ago.

Why won't you show the invoice?
And what do you mean by mistake?

I'm not going to display my invoice to the world. If you don't believe me, I really don't care. Everything I'm telling the folks on this forum is to help prevent what happened to me from happening to anyone else. You really have no idea what I went through as far as time, labor, and loss of money. You're way off track.
