ITS ALIVE!!!!!!!!

Finally got to fire up my Kz1000 for the first time in 30 YEARS!!!! It only took 5 or 6 kicks and it started. Good guess on the jetting to start with. Don't know how much it will change when I get my air filters. No smoke or visible signs of oil leaks. Due to limited budget, I used 30 year old gaskets and hoping for the best!!! I forgot how loud the 3 inch Bassani baffle really is. Since I don't live in a trailer park, I think I am going for the smaller baffle to keep my neighbors happy.

Now the 30 year old tires were hard as hockey pucks. That meant no hard turns. I had to turn like a drag racer, super slow and no lean angle what so ever!!!! Sure did light the rear tire up on a second gear roll on real easy!!! I can't afford my new Avon tires till I get some extra cash to buy them with. It really sucks living on a very limited budget!!! Same with the air filters too. Got to live with the dented and scratched fuel tank too. All I can do now is look at it till next month when maybe I will have some extra cash to send!!!!

Here are some more photos of what it really looks like in street trim. Its even got a mirror on it too!!!

Here is what my bike looks like when I park it somewhere. With no stands, I have to find a tree, or a house to lean it up against!!!!

1972 H2 750 Cafe Racer built in 1974.
1976 KH400 Production Road Racer.
1979 Kz1000 MK. II Old AMA/WERA Superbike.
1986 RG500G 2 stroke terror.
1986 GSXR750RG The one with the clutch that rattles!

I couldn't agree more with the above comments, definitely BOM material.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

Looks terrific wow! I'd suggest a chain guard though so that gunk doesn't get everywhere hahahaha

Keep it up and more pics :)
