Your doing several of the mods I dare not take just yet. The swingarm pivot is one thing. But to hack the frame is going farther than I dare. You show it's doable. I still have my TL1000 swing. The pivot points are just as stout.

No offence to anyone but seems a waste not to take advantage of this stiffer connection. Shimming the new to the old swingarm bolt just seems worng, at least to me.

Really interested in the gullwing triple tree. Please keep up the good work.

Touche my friend, touche ;)

kzr750, welcome to my thread. As always, questions, comments and constructive critisism is always welcomed. I try to take good pictures of the work in progress, and if something doesn't make sense to you, just ask me. If I can't explain what I'm doing and why, I shouldn't be doing it! :silly:
I agree with you on the OEM swingarm pivot. I think most guys here that do swing arm mods tend to reuse the stock pivot bolt because its just easier. It was a major PITA to cut the old ones out, make new ones and get them back in the right spot. Hopefully the extra rigidity was worth the effort.

Now, back to buisiness guys. Those following know I have been working on new rear motor mounts. Mount #1 was a failure due to my attempt to cheat. #2 is pictured- tell me what you think, and if you see a way to improve it!
