Joe... Why would you do that without first t-shooting it first otherwise you're pissing $$$ out the door....

Download the manual, follow the test/measurement procedures and you may find it truly faulty or you may find your coils are out of spec or, or, or.... ;)

BTW... I'm downloading the manual from Sweden now.,... Hopefully it's in English and I'll see what I can find out for ya....

I downloaded from the Swedish Rapidshare... worked fine and in English... OEM Service Manual...

man the one i downloaded didnt have all that. and then when i went to post it on here it said it needed to be jpeg or whatever. you have a link for that download? or is everything i need to trouble shoot right above this post?

man o man. ok, set on ohms, whats continuity and no continuity read? no continuity is 1 right?

since the bike cranks it cannot be the side stand, or clutch switch, or whatever. its something simple. what a pain in the ass.:dry: lol:side:

its a walmart multi meter..........picture below.

OMR....i did these tests last week, and if i did it right everything checked out. now if i assume the ignitor is bad since there is no way to test it, and i buy one, who is to say i dont have coils that are recieving juice but are not producing pulsed arc?

this what i use for a meter ,unlike omr (the evil little electronics genius he is)i usually just set mine on buzz mode for checking continuity.
if im out on the plant floor where i cant hear myself scream let alone a buzz i just look for the numbers to change from zero and stay there till i remove one lead.
to check resistance on your coils you need to find out what is on the primary and secondary sides and adjust the meter to it. B)
but if your not getting 12v from your ignition to the coils it doesnt matter what they read till they get power they wont fire B)

coils are getting 11.65 volts to all four wires...2 to each coil.
