As I mentioned... PULL IN THE FREAKING CLUTCH....

Off the ignition switch, you have a Blue Conductor with black dots... This feeds into the ignition control module... +12Vdc there as well?

For engine to run, must have battery voltage reaching coil primary terminals (among other things).

Good Fortune! :)

OK, if the engine case is true ground potential and you have +12Vdc to the coils (min you, this was supposed to be fully charged battery) then good chance the ignition control unit took a powder...

Download the manual and most likely will inform you how to trouble shoot & test the ignition control unit as most manuals do....

Good luck, take your time, read through it page by page and confirm if good or bad.... This way, you're not just buying and swapping good parts for that method will get costly on you real fast....

thank you. when you say ignition control unit you mean the electronic ignitor? that was my origional thought, but i didnt wanna buy it for nothing. OMR, i know it may not mean anything to you, but you get a gold star in my book. thanks for taking the time out. i will pick up the ignitor asap. Joe

ps, i was told by the fzr forums that there is no way to test the electronic ignitor exept for trying it in a running bike, or putting a good one in the project bike. i guess i just need to take the chance that the ignitor is bad. it has power going to it, and thats where the power party ends.
