These have 2.0 slides. That would be correct with 1.5's.

Seems to be getting better. Strange I had to go so large only to come back down.

Going with smaller air jets is supposed to richen the mid range without having to raise the needles and go with larger main jets thus keeping good gas mileage. It also prevents the flat spot off idle so I can go with smaller pilot jets. This may be the solution I've been looking for.
Thanks ZED1015

Got them in. Gonna put it back together again in the afternoon when it gets cooler and see how she runs.

Back together and running. Going to put some miles on it then check the plugs.

Thanks zed1015 for the air jet suggestion. I'm running 127.5 main jets and when I open it up at speed it doesn't bog or pick up when I let off so I think I'm good there. Seems a little fat on the bottom so I'm thinking I can go with the suggested pilots or close to it. I think I have #45's in there now.

Well, looks like I didn't have to come up here after all but I'm glad I did. After soldering and drilling my air jets from 1.0 to .6, and going to 127.5 mains, I noticed better all around performance, the blub, blubs are all but gone and riding into town and back cost $3 in gas where I was paying $4 before. About 30 miles round trip. That is with stop and go with high speed passes as well. The true test was a long trip. Before I would run onto reserve just before I got to the top of the hill (about 80 miles) but this time I got all the way to the gas station and put in 2.6 gallons. About 100. 38,4 per gallon. Getting there. It still seems a little lean in the mid range when hot ( it has been hot) so I will check the plugs this afternoon. I'm thinking I can go to .5 air jets to help the mid range and maybe go down one step on the pilots to get back to the magic 42 MPG mark I miss. The plugs should tell the tale.
BTW, Thanks again ZED 1015 for pointing me in the right direction. B)
