They are actually Andrews cams but were made before they stamped the ends of the shaft so there was no information to be found on the specs for degreeing them. After measuring lobe centers and duration I was able to find ones that matched the numbers made by Megacams. That's who I called. My cams have been degree'd to the specs of the 471-10 cams on the atta

I always planned on the 471-70 cams with .380 lift........... yours are defently a step up yet...bad to the bone. :woohoo: Maybe compromise and idle at 1,400 or just over guess it depends on how clean it ldles ?

Unfortunately I tore the gasket popping the valve cover off so I had to order a new one. Hopefully it'll be here soon and i'll let you know how it all turned out Steve.
I'm not sure how old the cams are Pete. The bike had the 750 kit put on in 1978 so they may be as old as that. I only assume they are older than when Andrews started stamping their cams. It's possible there's another explanation (like a special order or something)
That Belluci bike looks killer!!!

... and found out that the preferred lift is more like between .006inch and .007inch (.152mm - .178mm) She also Said these cams also don't like to be idled low (under 1800rpm

Valve clearances slightly different to stock on those.

The high idle is to avoid oil starvation with those race cams, IIRC Megacycle also recommend a synthetic oil too. These cams aren't really for riding around town on,

Megacam was saying that any premium oil that still uses zinc like motul is what you want. She didn't specify synhetic or not. These cams really blast off at 6000rpm and are a ton of fun but I do a lot of city riding and may have to put some milder cams(like GPZ Cams) in one day. I'd just like to see if I can nail down the tuning and have some fun before I decide to part with them or not.

got everything back together after readjusting the valves and cleaning carbs ( 100% apart ultra sonic dipped and blown out with air compressor) The bike seems even faster but I'm still having the exact same plug issues. I think I'll try moving the needle position from 3 to 4 but I'm concerned that this will make carbs 1 and 2 way too lean.
