jetsRus has shims. I have a 205 on hand but I'll be needing it soon.

The max is .012" I hope you didn't go past that. The bucket can dislodge the keepers and a dropped valve can be the result. :dry:

Thanks, I've got a local shop about 25 miles away that has shim I can trade for. He has 200 and up. I just have a bad feeling that I get the 200 and still no clearance.

That's quite a drop. Unless the guy was heavy handed, you shouldn't have any trouble.

If the seat is toast, a new one can be installed. I hope not but it can be done. :unsure:

Well guys a 200 shim a valve stem ground and still no clearance!! Any last ditch ideas before I take it in to the machine shop??

Are you pointing the pointed end of lobe 180 degrees away from the shim when youre checking the clearance? ;)
