I have the coil mod done and I am getting power to the Dyna S via the #87 connector on the relay. Whenever the Dyna S is installed, I lose power to the Dyna S and the coils. Something, possible the Dyna S itself is causing a loss of voltage to the coils and the Dyna S. I have it wired up the way the directions explain and checking timing according to the directions that say timing procedure. Trying to figure out why I am losing voltage when the Dyna S is slipped over the rotor ?

Kevin,

I have been very patient.....right up until I read this..... GET THAT SHIT OFF YOUR BIKE! And by SHIT...I'm not talking about the Dyna ignition........

Yes. Dump that coil mod bullshit. Fix your wiring issues if your primary coil voltage is low. Anything less is just a band aid.

Start by cleaning the bullet connections and multi pin connections. Take your switches off and clean them with contact cleaner. Once you get the connections sorted, the voltage will be correct.

There are two ways to do things. The RIGHT way and the WRONG way....Nothing in between B)

I got everything put back together after finding a wire that was shortening out, causing no power to the coils. I cleaned the cards and did the bench sync on them. I have 140 psi, 140 psi, 130 psi and 125 psi when doing a compression check with the engine cold and throttle held wide open. I tried doing the running sync with my Motion Pro, but the #3 carb sucks all of the fluid out of the tool. I was able to get the other 3 carbs in sync. What would cause the fluid to get sucked out of the tool ? Thanks to all who have helped in getting the bike running again.

The air screws have not been touched since the carbs were cleaned. They are still about 1 and 1/4 turns out.

Any ideas on what is causing the fluid to be sucked out of the sync tool only on 1 card ? Any help/assistance would be appreciated.

Are you able to do the initial setup to get the fluid level aligned about a third of the way up?
P.S. If you haven't already done so, contact Motion Pro. They were very helpful when I first got my sync-tool. I believe the phone number was printed on the instruction sheet. B)

I don't remember seeing anything about an initial setup. I bench synced the carbs and I am able to get carb 1,2, and 4 about 1/3 of the way up the tube.
