Sounds dangerous. However, if there is one takeaway it's that at no point did the camera direction point up into the sky. There was acceleration left on the table. But that's an easy fix. Slightly loosen the camera mount next time , get twice the affect with half as much throttle just remember to tilt the camera back down as the bike decels. Hey, you never know, the grand kids might stumble upon this one day and totally eat it up. Grandpa was one radical dude.

The clutch was grabbing more and more. It started after I switched to Rotilla. When I saw the low mile clutch assy on ebay and no one was bidding on it I waited until the last few minutes and placed my highest bid. Got it for $48.99 free shipping. I also got the sprocket cover $30 delivered. That was three months ago. My old clutch is at least 25 years old. Got my money's worth.

With the new clutch in it pulls out much easier. I don't have to rev it as much. I'll get a clip of it in a few days when I get home. Happy Holidays.

Hey Steve,
That is quite the list. Just looking over it has helped me with my current project/restoration. I do have a question in regards to pistons. I was looking for a piston kit for the top end of the 750ltd on the Wiseco site and they didn't have any standard size listed. The only thing they had was a 3mm oversized piston or piston kit for that bike. Does that sound right to you? I haven't mic'd my pistons yet but the cylinders look like all they would need is a light honing. Motor only had 60k on it before the teardown. Your thoughts?

You can do the poor mans test and use a feeler gauge to measure the amount of gap between the pistons and cylinder walls. Turn the piston upside down and check the clearances top middle and bottom. Not gnat's ass but it will tell you if it's runnable. Your manual will give you the limits of the piston skirts and within tolerance and no scratches a hone could get you there. I wouldn't bother going oversize. A big bore kit will cost the same, even cheaper. Wiseco sells oversized pistons if you mung one up in the future. Pics?

Got my mis shift problem solved. Had a 350 Honda shift lever laying around, looked like hell but I bent it a little more, now I don't heve to move my foot down for each shift. Squirted a little paint on it. I'll get a new rubber for it too.

Nice ....know what you are saying . I have to have my heal on the peg in order to get good leverage on the shifter.

Glad I have new Kibblewhite valve springs. Buried the Tach too many times because of the old one.

Thanks for reminding me to use RTV! I used RTV many times on many bikes, works perfect all the time!

It doesn't work well for the carb holders at the head. I used Permatex there only until I could buy some new ones. BIG difference.
